Kiss everEZlashes

Last month I received the Kiss everEZlashes in my Bride To Be Voxbox. I was very excited to try these out, and I usually don't use lashes too often. I get frustrated and usually give up.

Well last Friday my fiance graduated Navy bootcamp, and since I had to dress up I thought I would give them a try. I woke up pretty early and made sure I would have enough time to apply these, as usually it can take me forever. :p I noticed that with the EZ strings that they were very easy to align with my natural lashes, and the red strings slid off easily once the lashes had set. I felt very pretty all day, and my fiance even mentioned that my eyes looked prettier than he remembered. ;) (I haven't seen him in two months, because Navy bootcamp you lose all contact with your sailor till graduation) So I was happy he thought I looked great! I am very impressed with the lashes because I did not need to trim them, or wrestle around to get them on correctly. I will definitely repurchase these again, the price is just right on them.

My only con to the lashes is that if you want to reuse them, they won't be as "easy" the second time around since the red strings are not attached. But, I can deal with that with a little more practice at applying lashes.

Here is the site for the Kiss everEZlashes be sure to check them out!

Anyone try these? Thoughts? Have you tried to put the red strings back on? Any tips?

:)

Nail Polish Obsession Tag!!

What were the questions?:

1. What's your favorite nail polish company?

My Favorite nail polish company is definitely Essie. I love how opaque their colors are and I love their brush. I have very tiny fingers so a smaller brush works best for me. Also, I feel that the quality of Essie is great -- sometimes I can go a whole week without chipping.

2. Glitter or no glitter?

I would have to say no glitter. Glitter polishes are very pretty, but since I work at a corporate office sometime glitter polishes can come off a little too "party party". I have noticed though, that the Butter London glitter polishes are more muted and appropriate for the work place. BUT let's get back to why I choose no glitter, the biggest most agreeable reason would be that no glitter comes off way easier. Glitter is so hard to take off!

**Quick Tip** Head over to Target and purchase the up&up brand nail polish remover. It's called up&up nail polish remover dip-it. It's great because all you do is basically stick your finger in and rub it against the plastic brushes and it removes your nailpolish easily. Also, it's GREAT for glitter polish, no more cotton balls sticking to the glitter!

3. OPI, China Glaze, or Essie?

Once again, Essie for the reasons listed in question number one. OPI comes in second. I really like OPI they have a great color selection, my only beef is that the brush is too large and thick. Like I said earlier I have tiny fingers so the bigger brush tends to be a little messy and uncontrollable for me.

4. When do you change your nail polish?

I usually change my nail polish about twice a week, unless I am lazy then as long as it doesn't chip I will leave the color one for a week.

5. What's your favorite color on your nails?

My favorite color to wear on my nails is Sew Psyched by Essie. It's an army green/green khaki color. It's actually quite ugly, but I love ugly colors so I find it gorg!

6. Darks or Brights?

Darks. I know it's not always right, but I wear darks year round. Don't get me wrong I do like brights in the summer with a tan. It's just that my go to colors are usually dark.

7. What are you wearing on your nails right this moment?

I am currently wearing Lady Like by Essie. It's a creamy mauvy dusty pink. There is an ongoing joke at my work that I have the most hilarious descriptions. I describe Lady Like as being a dusty old lady pink, reminds me of the color toilet seat at your grandparents house. :) hehe

8. Matte Nails--In or Out?

Personally, I do not like matte nails. I love a smooth shiny finish. I see some pictures of matte nails and they are edgy looking, just not my style. Also, I feel like matte nails make me want to grind my teeth together. It just looks rough, like a chalk board. Yuck.

9. French Manicure?

I used to love french manicures when I was in middle school and high school. They were great for dances. Now I only like them on my toes. I think they are pretty with tan. I feel like the next time I get a french manicure will be either when I get married, or if I am in a wedding.

10. Favorite Winter Color?

Well I can't pick just one. My THREE favorite colors for winter have been Bobbing for Baubles by Essie, Case Study by Essie, and My Private Jet by OPI.

Mini Sigma Beauty Review!

Hello everyone! So yesterday I got my Sigma bushes in the mail! Super excited!

I only bought 4 brushes :( mainly because I wanted to try a few out before I went out and bought a whole set.

So I will review the brushes I purchased and let you know the good and the bad!

F40 (Large Angled Contour) - I really like this brush a lot. It works really well for contouring and for applying blush. I also really like that bristles are white because I can see how much product I am picking up. So far I have nothing bad to say about it, haven't noticed any serious shedding.

E55 (Eye Shading) - This short little stubby brush is nice for applying shadow all over the lid. It's pretty dense so it packs the shadow on nicely.

E30 (Pencil) - This is a nice brush for highlighting the inner corner of my eye, and applying shadow to the outer V. Also works well for bringing eye shadow down to my lower lash line.

And lastly...

E40 (Tapered Blending) - I believe this is my favorite so far, it's very soft and fluffy and is excellent for blending in the crease.

OOPS! Almost forgot, they also included a little freebie! The Travel Size E25 (Blending).
This cute little brush is great for blending out harsh lines, and the best part was that it was free!

Overall I am really impressed with Sigma Beauty. The shipping was fast, and they packaging was great. I loved the little red sinched bag they came in. I am definitely interested in placing another order soon. I really want to try the F30 (Large Powder) and the F25 (Tapered Face). Actually I'd love to get the whole set!

I will link the website where I ordered my Sigma brushes below:

Haul?! Yes please.

So over the past month or so, I've bought quite a lot of things!

Benefit Erase Paste in 02 - I love this because it covers my undereye circles so well, and it's an eye brightener so it almost works like a highlighter for under my eyes. Only con is that it has a tacky feeling if I don't use a setting powder over it.

Benefit Get Even in 02 - Bought this mainly to use over my concealer (since it is the same color) to get rid of that tacky sticky feeling under my eyes. But now I use it for a lot more. It's great for summer because it's a blotting powder, but it also takes away any redness I get. Pretty pricey but I like it.

MAC Surf Baby Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Lush Light Bronze - My new favorite bronzer! It goes on so smooth and even, and it's matte! Plus, the packaging is super cute.

MAC 187 Duo Fibre Brush - My new favorite, works really great to stipple on face makeup and gives that "airbrushed" look. Also works great to apply my cream blush or bronzer.

MAC Chatterbox lipstick - Love this! Bought it really liking the color, but realized it looks a lot nicer with a tan. Definetely a summer color.

MAC Creme Cup lipstick - My new HG lipstick :) super cute.

MAC Posh It Up plushglass - New HG lipgloss to go over Creme Cup.

Revlon Colorstay liquid eye pen - It's "ok".

OPI Yodle Me On My Cell - Super pretty blue nail polish.

I bought four Sigma brushes, they will arrive today in the mail so I will review those sometime this week :) I bought the E55, F40, E30 and the E40.

I got a new Blackberry :) I got the white Blackberry Bold 9780 love it! And a case... that should come in the mail this week.

And my wish list... China Glaze - Watermelon Rind and OPI - Teenage Dream

April Favorites!

Well, it’s basically mid-May and I haven’t done an April favorites! I have been super busy with family events, and work and other things. So I will get around to it now!

Most of my favorites haven't changed since March.. So I will just update the new ones!

Lately I really like my Almay Intense Eye Color Liner, works really well and lasts pretty much all day without reapplying.

This is the Boots No. 7 Soft and Sheer tinted moisturizer in fair. The claims for this product are that it enhances your natural beauty with its translucent, sheer wash of "barely there" color that evens our your skin tone and gives you a radiant, natural glow. It contains SPF 15 sunscreen to protect your skin from the aging effects of the sun and moisturizes for up to 12 hours. What else can we ask for? I love this.

Givenchy Pop Gloss in Just Pulp. It's a clear gloss that I love to wear alone, or on top of my MAC Angel lipstick. It's not overly sticky and stays on for a while.

Essie nail polish in Very Cranberry. This seems like a fall/winter color but I love it in the spring. It's a bright kind of magenta pink, but it looks nice in the spring sun :)

So I just recently started watching the first season of Parks and Recreation. It is too funny! I think I may even like it more than I like The Office!

My music favorite for April is Ellie Goulding's album Bright Lights. She is AMAZING! My favorite songs are Lights, Guns & Horses, and Everytime You Go. I highly suggest listening :)

My food/drink favorite for April is Vanilla Coke Zero! It is soo delish. Bad thing is that I can only buy it from Peapod :(

Anyways those are all my favorites for April. Kind of a quick post since I am at work and not too many of my favorites have changed.

Friday is my Birthday and I should get my Birchbox today so I will do a Birchbox and Birthday haul!

So today was Hautelooks NYX sale.. I was pretty excited for this and was logged on right at the moment it started. I was disappointed to find out that all they had were 3 different lipgloss sets ranging from $21-$33 and then they had the Black Label face powder for $5.

I was really looking forward to seeing some lipsticks and eyeshadows, I am pretty disappointed in this sale.
Guess I'll wait for the next one :(
